Mantis
The autonomous robot automating construction
Mantis is All3's autonomous construction robot that transforms how buildings are made. Engineered with heavy-duty capability, adaptive tooling, and AI-powered execution, it handles installation, fastening, finishing and inspection across the full build process. Fully electric and modular, Mantis operates autonomously on urban construction sites, removing reliance on scarce skilled manual labour.

Key features
- One robot, multiple roles: Reconfigurable tools allow Mantis to install, fasten, finish, and inspect without manual intervention.
- Embodied AI: Trained specifically on All3's building logic, Mantis autonomously executes workflows with precision and site awareness.
- Heavy-duty capability: 100kg+ payload and 4m reach enables Mantis to handle everything from structural assembly to interior finishing.
- Precision placement: Millimetre-level accuracy using our plug-and-play connectors and positioners for instant alignment on site.
“We're not building a universal robot - we're building the robotic solution that construction needs right now. Mantis addresses one high-impact problem: how to make custom, high-quality buildings affordable and scalable through tightly integrated automation.”

How Mantis works
Built for Real Construction Sites
Construction sites aren't flat, predictable environments. Mantis is engineered to operate in real-world conditions - autonomously reconfiguring its leg stance to navigate confined spaces, fit through standard doorways, and operate in tight site zones. The four-legged design maintains stability across uneven surfaces, staircases, and early-stage assemblies even with heavy loads, whilst operating seamlessly both indoors and outdoors across the full site from ground-level slabs to multi-storey interiors.
Modular Architecture
Mantis is built from three integrated modules that allow it to adapt across the build process. The four-legged locomotion system is designed for unstructured sites and adaptive terrain navigation. Swappable payload modules can be reconfigured for different construction phases and load requirements. An interchangeable tool system handles everything from fastening and drilling to finishing and inspection, all controlled with robotic precision.
Engineered for Heavy Lifting
Together, these factors enable All3 to offer a guaranteed minimum 10% cost reduction, with pricing fixed at contract stage.
For developers, this level of certainty can turn marginal opportunities into viable projects.
Carrying 100kg+ loads with precision across uneven terrain requires purpose-built engineering. Mantis uses custom-machined high-strength aluminium alloys with structural reinforcements and finite-element optimisation for dynamic loads. Purpose-designed high-torque electric actuators deliver consistent performance under extreme conditions, whilst a multi-layered real-time control system synchronises joint torque, balance, and contact dynamics at millisecond precision. Industrial-grade power distribution and control electronics meet industrial automation standards.
Plug-and-play assembly
Mantis doesn't just place components - it assembles buildings using All3's integrated connector and positioner technology. Each building element arrives with engineered joints, self-aligning positioners, and pre-installed MEP systems. On site, components snap into place in under a minute with no skilled carpentry or manual adjustments required, allowing a fleet of Mantis robots to assemble a seven-storey, 5,000m² building in three months. All connectors and positioners are designed in-house and compliant with applicable structural, fire safety, vibration, and sound isolation regulations.
